Akebia quinata 'White Chocolate'
Local name: Chocolate Vine or Five-leaf Akebia
Akebia is a fast climber. The flowers are small yet grow in abundance, the flowering period is from the end of April to May. 'White Chocolate'flowers white and has a vanilla fragrance. The leaves of Akebia are ornamental, which of course is a huge addition to this plant. When cross pollination occurs beautiful fruits are produced, sometimes they are hidden behind the leaves. The usual colour of Akebia quinata fruits are a blue shade.
